Job Title: Senior Contract Attorney – Commercial Real EstateLocation: Waltham, MA (Hybrid flexibility based on performance)OverviewWe are seeking a skilled attorney with 5–10 years of experience to provide commercial transactional real estate support. This individual will work closely with a team of experienced legal professionals and business stakeholders to support a diverse property portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate, including contract drafting, negotiation, title analysis, and survey reviewConduct title examination and legal research related to property ownership and rightsDraft and negotiate commercial leases, licenses, easements, and related agreementsHandle third-party property matters and disputes involving commercial entities, government agencies, railroads, and private partiesSupport cross-functional initiatives impacting real estate assets and property strategyPerform legal research and prepare clear, high-quality legal memorandaManage a high volume of transactions from inception through closingRequired QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive membership and good standing with the Massachusetts Bar (additional bar admissions such as NY, NH, or VT are a plus)Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law within a law firm, corporate, or government settingDemonstrated experience with real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and easementsStrong proficiency in title research, land court processes, and registry of deedsProven ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsExperience within regulated industries such as energy or utilitiesWork EnvironmentPrimarily based in Waltham, MAHybrid flexibility may be offered based on demonstrated performance and ability to work independently
