The Chief Inspector will ensure overall quality control, safety compliance, and timely completion of the project.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nOversee and coordinate all inspection activities related to the installation of:\nOne Raw water injection pump with outdoor medium voltage VFD\nOne Brine water injection pump\nOne Shore Mounted Pump System\nElectrical rework of two existing Raw water injection pumps\nDevelop and implement inspection plans and quality control procedures for all aspects of the project, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil works.\nLead a team of specialized inspectors, including I&E Inspectors, and coordinate their activities.\nEnsure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, safety regulations, and local codes.\nReview and approve all inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.\nLiaise with project management, contractors, vendors, and client representatives to resolve technical issues and ensure project quality.\nConduct regular site walks to maintain a comprehensive understanding of project progress and identify potential issues.\nOversee the inspection of critical activities such as:\nInstallation of piping, electrical components, skids, and foundations\nAnchor bolt and grouting installations\nVFD installations and electrical rework\nInstrumentation and control system installations\nManage the documentation process, ensuring all inspection records are properly maintained and easily accessible.\nProvide regular reports to project management on inspection activities, quality issues, and project status.\n\nQualifications\nMinimum 10 years of experience in inspection roles, with at least 5 years as a Chief Inspector or similar leadership role\nStrong background in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems in industrial settings\nIn-depth knowledge of pump systems, VFDs, and associated infrastructure\nProven experience managing complex projects in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industries\nExcellent understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, IEEE, NEC)\nStrong leadership and team management skills\nExceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal\nRelevant certifications such as API, NACE, or AWS\n\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to work in various environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor)\nCapable of climbing ladders, working at heights, and in confined spaces when necessary\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs\n﻿\n\nAdditional Information\nThis is a key leadership position for the duration of the project. The successful candidate must be available for the entire project period and be willing to work flexible hours as needed to meet project milestones.
