Our group is looking for someone who is excited about backend development on Linux, using C, C++, C#, and Bash, and who is interested in solving real world problems in the growing market of electric power.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nWork from high-level requirements and customer commitments to deliver innovative solutions and delight our customers.\n\nWork cooperatively with a team of like-minded individuals.\n\nParticipate in reviewing specifications, designs, code, and tests in tight collaboration with other team members.\n\nUnderstand hardware and software interactions; collaborate with firmware and power system engineers.\n\nParticipate in project planning and estimation.\n\nFollow and apply SEL Values and Principles of Operation.\n\nUnderstand. Create. Simplify.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nB.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.\n\nSolid understanding of object-oriented principles and concepts.\n\nKnowledge and experience in object-oriented languages (e.g., C++, C#, etc.)\n\nKnowledge and experience in Linux.\n\nStrong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.\n\nAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.\n\nAbility to work cooperatively in a team environment.\n\nBackground check results satisfactory to SEL.\n\nNegative drug test result(s).\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n1-3 years software development experience.\n\nFamiliarity with Git, CMake, and Docker.\n\nFamiliarity with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.\n\nCompetitive pay.
