CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
Job Summary:
Observe professional ethics in maintaining, confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, and medical or employment of patients and their families.
Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration rates to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
Must follow and enforce accepted Safety practices for patients and hospital.
Must report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action.
Must participate in safety instructional programs.
Must demonstrate leadership to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Provide appropriate communication for patient age and level of understanding.
Provide education to patient and family within the learning ability of the patient and family.
Assess patient needs and develop a plan of care as identified by the patient, nursing, physician and family interaction.
Interacts with all hospital departments to coordinate patient care.
Transport clients to necessary appointments, ensure safety and comfort.
Demonstrates emotional maturity and ability to function effectively under stress.
Performs duties with little or no supervision.
Uses policy and procedure manuals, and other reference materials to ensure proper course of action.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
Performs additional tasks as assigned
Assures quality of care by adhering to standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Demonstrate ability to adhere to trauma-informed care principles.
Ability to exhibit good nursing judgement in the care of complex patients and knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
Working knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of outpatient care and programs and services available to patients.
Ability to be flexible and to coordinate and relate effectively with members of several interdisciplinary teams, patients, supervisors, and co-workers.
Ability to update and appropriately document in patient records databases in a timely manner with patient interactions, appointments, and encounters
Preform wellness checks and patient drug reconciliations.
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with and effectively communicate with the general public, patients, medical personnel, corrections personnel, police, and co-workers.
Ability to co-manage tracking procedures.
Ability to participate in QI initiatives, anchoring a medical stake in clinic QI processes.
Eight (8)-hour shifts.
Assist with light housekeeping duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have current Drivers License
Must have recent/CNA Experience.
Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate
Must live no more than 50 miles away from facility.
Interest or experience in working with homeless.
Interest or experience in working with clients who may be difficult to engage due to their homeless past.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff from diverse backgrounds.
Subscribe to the philosophy of cooperation and continuity across programs and of consideration and respect for clients.
Must pass General Personnel application process including background checks, drug screen, and satisfactory reference checks.
Current CPR (BLS) required.
Current TB skin test required.
Flu shot required during flu season (October 1 – April 1).
Immunizations, resume, fit test, and other requirements available upon request.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
