Remote Accounting ManagerBoutique CPA & Advisory FirmLocation: 100% Remote - Anywhere in the U.S.Base Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 (DOE) plus Performance-Based BonusesWe are a boutique CPA and advisory firm that partners with small and mid-sized businesses nationwide. Our team is expanding, and we’re searching for an Accounting Manager who can take ownership of client relationships, oversee the work of staff, and provide strategic financial guidance.This role is ideal for someone with a strong public accounting background who enjoys balancing hands on technical work with leadership, mentorship, and client service.What You’ll DoAs the Accounting Manager, you will:Oversee the day to day accounting operations for assigned clients, including payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and depreciation schedules.Review financials and monthly/quarterly reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and GAAP compliance.Manage payroll tax filings and client payroll setup.Supervise and mentor accountants and bookkeepers, providing direction and quality review of their work.Resolve accounting and compliance issues as they arise, including IRS and state notice responses.Provide clients with clear reporting and actionable insights, supporting their tax strategy and business planning decisions.Recommend process improvements and efficiencies that enhance accuracy, transparency, and client experience.Serve as a trusted advisor, maintaining strong client relationships through proactive communication and reliable service.Qualifications4+ years of public accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/review capacity.Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, payroll, and compliance.Proficiency in QuickBooks Online required.Experience with Gusto strongly preferred.CPA or EA is a strong plus (not required).Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple client relationships.Proven ability to lead teams in a remote setting and deliver results under deadlines.Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $100,000 – $135,000 (based on experience & qualifications)Performance Based BonusesFully Remote & Flexible Work EnvironmentUnlimited PTO401(k) with profit sharingMonthly technology / cell phone stipendCompany-provided equipmentA supportive, growth-oriented culture that values both client and employee successReady to take the next step in your career?
