Bartender

Seeking experienced bartender for fun, casual neighborhood bar & restaurant in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. Duties will include: -working am/brunch shifts -working pm/dinner shifts -consistently executing all house cocktails with speed and efficiency -creating a welcoming guest experience from greeting to goodbyes -keeping guest areas tidy and clean, bussing tables and bar areas as needed -prep work for bar service, and restocking bar products -working with other team members to maintain bar pars & communicating purchasing or stock needs -execution of given cocktail, bar infusion, and syrup recipes (with guidance given by manager, creator) -regular cleaning of various FOH Bar areas like bar wells, fridges, shelves, liquor displays, ice machines -washing your own glassware & tools/equipment, when it's not busy -regular spot cleaning as you work (ie: sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and keeping your workspace clean and organized) -maintaining an accurate cash register and creating a blind cash drop at the end of a shift -accurately reporting tips to tip pool -key holding duties including closing/opening the space About us: Edie Jo's Restaurant in Prospect Lefferts Gardens is hiring and looking for experienced line cooks! Work with an easy going, yet dedicated and professional team in providing delicious options for our neighborhood. We're an owner-operated, local spot with an eye on hospitality, seasonality, and sustainability. The menu changes quarterly, and we work hard to support local farmers and vendors when we can. Menu is new american food with seasonal variations of classic cocktails. Think fresh muddled herbs in a swizzle, infused spritzes on draft, homemade shrubs, a rotating slushy menu, and lots of house made products. We are open Tuesday to Sunday for coffee, cocktails, and snacks, as well as morning brunch and evening dinner. (We are currently closed all day Monday, though this may change as we get busier.) Bar Hours: -Tuesday to Thursday 12pm-1am -Friday 12pm-2am -Saturday 10am-2am -Sunday 10am-1am Desired Qualifications: -Experience working in classic cocktails, but happy to train the classics to someone who shows interest and dedication. -Former bartending experience required; serving or bar backing experience may be considered with strong restaurant experience -Hiring immediately -Must be able to lift 50 lb -Must be able to use arms to perform repetitive actions -Must be able to stand on feet 8 hours+ and move quickly on one's feet -Must be legally allowed to work in USA -Must be 21 years or older -Must be able to work Saturday & Sunday Brunch shifts -Weekend availability is a must Part-time hours: 16-24 per week Expected Start Date: ASAP All employees must follow all NYC/NYS required guidelines which include Department of Health hand washing & sanitation procedures.
