Director of Aftermarket Parts and Service

Position Overview: Team JDC is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Aftermarket Parts & Service to lead and expand our aftermarket operations. This role will be heavily focused on business development, vendor management, and strategic growth initiatives to enhance our parts and service offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aftermarket sales, service department operations, and vendor negotiations, with the ability to drive efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction across all regions. Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with new vendors to expand our parts and service offerings. Lead vendor negotiations to optimize costs, service agreements, and strategic partnerships. Manage existing vendor relationships to ensure service quality, pricing competitiveness, and product availability. Develop and implement nationwide fleet account programs to increase service and parts sales. Service Department & Performance Optimization: Assess and optimize service departments across all locations to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer experience. Analyze bay utilization, technician productivity, and service department ROI to drive operational improvements. Implement best practices for service pricing, labor efficiency, and margin enhancement. Work closely with branch service managers to establish and achieve key performance metrics. Collaboration & Strategic Initiatives Partner with Regional General Managers (RGMs) and Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to develop and execute aftermarket growth strategies. Align parts and service initiatives with broader sales and operational objectives to drive revenue and profitability. Provide leadership on pricing strategies, inventory management, and service offerings to enhance customer value. Lead data-driven decision-making by tracking industry trends, customer needs, and financial performance. Qualifications & Experience: 10+ years of experience in aftermarket parts, service operations, or business development within the capital equipment, heavy equipment, or industrial sectors. Strong track record of vendor negotiations, fleet account management, and service department optimization. Experience working with regional and national teams to execute strategic initiatives. Knowledge of financial metrics, ROI analysis, and margin improvement strategies. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration across departments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
