Dental Assistant

Expert Dental is a high end dental practice, we offer benefits to our employees, sick leave, PTO, etc.... and help them grow their experience in a friendly professional way. Currently we are Seeking full-time Dental Assistant for immediate placement to add to our dental office team. Dental Assistant responsibilities include: Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. Taking and developing dental radio graphs (x-rays). Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse. Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment. Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment. Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling). Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling). Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies). Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties Position requirements: Must have at least high school degree. Must have good professional and interpersonal skills. Must be a team player, reliable, and honest. Prior experience as a dental assistant a must. Bilingual is a plus Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40 per week Benefits: Paid time off Schedule: Monday to Friday Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Required) Language: Spanish (Preferred) Work Location: In person
