Responsibilitiesof Security Officers include, but are not limited to:
Officers must be attentive, approachable, and capable of enforcing policies while delivering excellent customer service to guests, staff, and vendors.
This is ahigh-visibility, physically demanding, customer-facing rolein a fast-paced public environment.
Maintain clear, accurate administrative logs at front desk pertaining to people or property including packages.
Control access for tenants, visitors or vendors as required
Enforce museum rules and policies in a professional, customer-service-oriented manner
Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment
Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management
Provide a visible security presence throughout the museum
Rotate between assigned posts as needed
Required Qualificationsof Security Officers:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to work all shifts.
1 year of security, customer service, or public-facing experience preferred
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Able to acquire and maintain a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), including state accredited training requirements
Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Willingness to work all posts and flexible schedules
Experience in museums, hospitals, retail centers, or high-traffic public venues
Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs., completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather
Preferred Qualificationsof Security Officers:
Bi-lingual considered a plus.
Evening, overnight, and weekend availability required
Pay and Benefitsof Security Officers:
Positions starting at $20.00-$22.00 per hour
