A significant portion of your role will involve developing periodic financial reports and maintaining an adequate accounting records system.\r\nYour role as Plant Controller will also involve developing a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of The Aebi Schmidt Group's reported financial results, and for ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.\r\n\r\nAnalyzing financial data looking for business efficiencies and verifying the accuracy\r\nProviding management with a timely review of the organization's financial status and progress\r\nDeveloping statistical reports and preparing for management\r\nEvaluating degree of financial risks in current and future undertakings\r\nAssisting in the development of pricing strategies\r\nPreparing and presenting financial statements and related reports including but not limited to the balance sheet, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis\r\nAssisting in the preparation of tax reports, internal controls documentation and other internal and external reports as required\r\nSupporting monthly, quarterly, and annual balancing of books and monthly account reviews; prepare and present monthly financial statements\r\nMonitoring receivables to ensure credit risk is mitigated\r\nEnsuring inventory accuracy via monitoring of cycle count program, bill of materials, etc.\r\nSupporting annual independent audit and preparation of annual tax documents\r\nDeveloping financial plan and forecast\r\nAssisting with company strategic planning\r\nDirecting budget preparation, reviewing budget proposals, and preparing necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets\r\nProviding cost estimating for new and existing products and product options\r\nAssisting with the development of overhead and labor standards\r\nReviewing, evaluating and implementing accounting systems, policies, and procedures\r\nVerifying all Sarbanes-Oxley and other compliance requirements are implemented\r\nAssisting with special projects as required\r\nPerforming other duties as assigned by the manager\r\nAssisting with special projects as required\r\n\r\nWhat you need to be successful\r\n\r\nBachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, or business administration (CPA certification preferred)\r\n6+ years of accounting experience\r\n3+ years of experience working as a controller in a manufacturing environment\r\nUnderstanding of fundamentals of Government procurement regulations requires that the effect accounting system would be a plus\r\nWorking knowledge of forecasting and financial reports\r\nDemonstrated ability to interpret economic conditions and anticipate the impact on the organization\r\nWorking knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method\r\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite\r\n\r\nWhat Makes You Stand Out\r\n\r\nAbility to work with all levels of management\r\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow\r\nProven leadership and business acumen skills\r\nWilling to travel as needed\r\n\r\nWhy The Shyft Group?\r\nOur people are our greatest asset, and your success is our success!
