{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"55c7f25301c255003f5dfac2","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/55c7f25301c255003f5dfac2","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/55c7f25301c255003f5dfac2","title":"Packing Machine Operator","description":"PriorityWorkforce is hiring!\nWe offer long-term, full-time, weekly pay and temp-to-hire job opportunities!\nWe are a Food company, hiring for a Packing Machine Operator in the city of Torrance, Ca!\nJob Title: Packing Machine Operator\nLocation: Torrance, Ca 90502\nSchedule: Monday to Friday\n1st shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm\nPay: $18.50 - $19.00\nJob duties:\nAbility to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot on assigned machines.\nEnsure a great level of attention to detail and safety standards.\nEnsuring machine-specific functions, such as configuring the equipment, loading, and operating the machines, and optimizing the machine capability.\nAscertain that the machine works at its full capacity, oversee the basic maintenance, and they are responsible for the product quality.\nSet up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle and control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed).\nConstantly feed raw material (film or cartons) into packaging machinery throughout the shift.\nContinually monitor machine operation to ensure accurate product measurements are maintained.\nCommunicate mechanical and operational issues to the maintenance team as they arise.\nMake minor machine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.\nMaintain standard production rates, low waste and meet Shine requirements.\nComplete all necessary documentation and reports.\nMonitor raw material scrap levels to continuously decrease waste.\nAssists in directing and training employees assigned to a specific area, looking out for safety, and adherence to GMPs, and communicates and delegates tasks to team members per Supervisor’s instructions.\nResponsible for the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line with the companies’ quality systems, processes, and procedures.\nAssemble/Disassemble machines for use or changeovers.\nInteracts with maintenance on production equipment to troubleshoot or discuss preventative maintenance to prevent production downtime.\nMust be able to read, understand, and adhere to the daily production packaging schedule.\nMust be able to read and understand product specifications established by Shine Foods and recognize deviations from those specifications.\nMust be able to ensure proper printing of lot and/or case coding is being followed.\nPerforms clean-up activities as assigned.\nMay be assigned other duties by plant management as required.\nQualifications:\nAll employees are required to immediately report and assist in the elimination or control of any food safety issues they observe to their supervisor\nMonitors and enforces cGMPs\nFollow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre-requisite programs\nAll new hires must complete a PW Employment Application at www.priorityworkforce.com.\nPay: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour\nBenefits:\nDental insurance\nHealth insurance\nVision insurance\nEducation:\nHigh school or equivalent (Required)\nExperience:\nFood manufacture: 2 years (Required)\nPacking Machine Operator: 2 years (Required)\nLanguage:\nMust be Bilingual;
