Job Description Melrose Park Logistics is a third party contractor that deliver packages for Amazon. We are currently looking to hire drivers for our SEASONAL position. The seasonal position starts October 1,2024 and ends January 7,2024. Even though this position is a seasonal position drivers do have the opportunity to be offered a permanent position. Permanent positions are based on all performance and attendance during the timeframe indicated. CURRENT DELIVERY AREAS ARE ( ELK GROVE, SCHAUMBURG, ROSELLE, ITASCA, BLOOMINGDALE, WOOD DALE, BENSENVILLE)PERFORMANCE BONUS OF GUARANTEED HOURS AFTER 30 DAY PROBATIONARY PERIOD UNLESS TOLD OTHERWISEPLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT AVERAGE ROUTES ARE BETWEEN 170-190 STOPS IF YOU HAVE DELIVERED FOR AMAZON WITHIN 90 DAYS THEN YOU WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO RETAKE THE 3 DAY TRAINING WHICH WILL BRING YOU IN ON REGULAR ROUTES. ALL NEW HIRES WILL BE REQUIRED TO TAKE A MANDATORY 3 DAY TRAINING THAT INCLUDES 2 FINAL EXAMS & A ROAD TEST THAT MUST BE PASSED IN ORDER TO START MAKING DELIVERIES. SHIFT IS FROM 9:45AM TO 7:45PM OR UNTIL ROUTE COMPLETIONJob requirements:Must be 21 years or older Must have a valid Driver’s License and a safe driving recordMust be able to pass a Drug test (DO NOT TEST FOR THC)Must have reliable transportation Must be able to work in all weather conditionsMust be able to jump in/out of a vehicle 200+ times per dayMust be able to work the schedules presented based on company needs. Previous experience is preferred but not required.
