Now Hiring: Project Manager | Los Alamos, NM We’re partnering with a national publicly traded infrastructure company to find an experienced Project Manager to lead a major Design-Build construction project at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in Los Alamos, New Mexico.What You’ll Do:Lead the overall planning, coordination, and execution of the project through all phases of Design-Build delivery, including mobilization, abatement, demolition, concrete pours, and waste management critical activitiesManage and oversee multiple sub-tier contractors, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and safety requirementsServe as the primary liaison between QGS, the client (LANL/DOE/NNSA), and subcontractors, managing communications, deliverables, and client expectations throughout the project lifecycleDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans; track progress against milestones and proactively identify and mitigate risksBe on-site a minimum of 20% of the time during regular ongoing field activities, and be present on-site during the sJetwriter AItart of all major activities including mobilization, abatement, demolition, concrete pours, and waste management critical activitiesEnsure full compliance with DOE, NNSA, and LANL site-specific safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout all project phasesPerform additional duties as assigned to support project delivery and organizational objectivesRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a relevant technical disciplineSeven (7) + years of related experience in project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceFive (5)+ years of experience with Design-Build or Build projects and management of multiple sub-tier contractorsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholdersPreferred Education and ExperienceExperience working on DOE/NNSA or national laboratory projectsExperience with cooling tower replacement, mechanical systems, or similar infrastructure projectsMaster’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldRequired Licenses/CertificationsProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversees subcontractor teams; direct supervisory responsibilities to be determined based on project staffingTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Travels: YesPercent of time: Minimum 20% on-site during field activities; 100% on-site during major activity startsOvernight required: Yes; per diem provided for non-local candidatesThis is an excellent opportunity for a construction leader with Design-Build experience and a strong background managing complex infrastructure or government-related projects.If you or someone in your network may be a fit, feel free to message me directly : nbieler@vtstalent.com
