You'll work with a multidisciplinary team developing advanced maritime technologies, from prototype design to full-scale system deployment for ongoing Navy missions.\r\nWhy Join Us?\r\nMake an Impact : Your work will directly support U.S. maritime dominance and national security.\r\nLead Innovation : Be at the forefront of applying innovative technology and autonomy to real-world maritime systems.\r\nWork with Experts : Collaborate with a top-tier team of engineers, scientists, and technicians located across the U.S.\r\nShape the Future : Help us build next-generation subsea technologies.\r\nWhat You'll Do\r\nContribute to technical innovation and product improvements aligned with customer needs and mission goals.\r\nFirmware & Software development for microcontrollers and FPGAs.\r\nCircuit board level design of high reliability, high voltage (1 kV or greater) DC/DC power systems.\r\nCircuit board level design of simultaneously sampled remote analog data acquisition equipment.\r\nDesign of long-distance fiber optic telemetry systems.\r\nSupport system architecture, subsystem trade studies, and design decisions across hardware, firmware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and test disciplines.\r\nPlan, execute, and document verification and validation activities, including engineering tests, qualification tests, acceptance tests, troubleshooting, and anomaly resolution.\r\nCreate and maintain engineering documentation including specifications, interface control documents, schematics, test procedures, test reports, design analyses, build documentation, and lifecycle support artifacts.\r\nSupport design reviews, production readiness reviews, failure investigations, corrective actions, and technical risk reduction activities.\r\nWork with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program teams to transition designs from prototype through production and field support.\r\nContribute to configuration management, change control, design release, and product baseline maintenance for hardware, firmware, and documentation.\r\nRequired Experience & Skills\r\nBachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.\r\nAt least 5 years of experience with subsea maritime systems or other integrated electro-mechanical systems.\r\nExperience with requirements traceability, verification planning, and objective quality evidence (OQE) generation.\r\nExperience with design, prototype, production and test of multi-layer printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).\r\nExperience with FPGAs, MCUs and Hardware Description Languages (VHDL, Verilog).\r\nExperience with Python, Bash, MATLAB, SPICE, C/C++.\r\nFunctional literacy of Linux operating systems and ability to use basic command line tools.\r\nAbility to apply basic software engineering practices to firmware & software development.\r\nAbility to troubleshoot complex integrated systems across electronics, firmware, software, sensors, telemetry, power, and mechanical interfaces.\r\nExperience producing complete and accurate engineering documentation, including designs, procedures, analyses, and test results, suitable for design reviews, manufacturing, quality, program execution, and long-term sustainment.\r\nExperience working independently and collaboratively towards defined objectives within a multidisciplinary geographically diverse team.\r\nU.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.\r\nPreferred Experience\r\nExperience with Altium Designer.\r\nExperience with Xilinx Zynq FPGAs and Vivado IDE.\r\nExperience with cross-platform compiling C/C++ for ARM systems.\r\nExperience with Microchip PIC32 & PIC24, STMicroelectronics STM32.\r\nExperience with UUVs, deployed subsea systems, and underwater payloads.\r\nFamiliarity with ISO 9001:2015 and quality-focused engineering processes.\r\nExposure to DoD technical program execution.\r\nFamiliarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.\r\nWilling to travel up to 10%.\r\nPay and Benefits\r\nPay Range: $87,100.00 - $157,450.00.
