Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor pollution prevention activities, compliance, and auditing effortsConduct studies and prepare environmental impact reports for new construction projects, plant processes, and permit changesReview and analyze environmental documentation issued by regulatory agencies; determines impact on operations, and publish compliance strategies and requirementsEvaluate proposed regulations to determine financial, industrial, public, and environmental impactInteract with regulators to resolve compliance issues; establish permit requirements and assists in regulatory auditsResponsible for the safe and proper management and handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with plant requirementsExecute environmental sampling, data analysis, risk assessment, and design of environmental control/treatment systemsWork extended hours, nights, or weekends on an as needed basisOversee waste stream management (reduction, reuse, recycling, and safe disposal)Attend and participate in public forums and meetingsPartner with key stakeholders to drive transformational leadership and continuous improvement of environmental management systems Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g. engineering, environmental, chemical)7-10 years of experience in relevant chemical, oil/gas, or manufacturing industry with field experience Additional Qualifications: Ability to be self-directed in managing multiple prioritiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsProfessional Certification or License preferred (e.g., CHMM, PE)Background in remediationRoot cause analysis facilitation (e.g., think reliability, taproot)Six sigma certificationFamiliarity with RC14001 Responsible Care, ISO 14001, ISO 9001May be required to work in adverse weather conditions (cold, hot, humid, rain, snow, etc.) Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization and ability to work in a team environment Ability to influence parties within own job family at an operational level and explain facts, practices, and policies related to parties outside of job family Proficient in Microsoft Office The base salary range for this role is $130,700.00-$196,100.00 We offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness. Hired applicants will be eligible for paid holidays, paid time off including vacation, eligibility to purchase company stock, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with a competitive company match. Certain roles may be eligible for discretionary financial benefits such as incentive pay, equity awards, and participation in a deferred compensation plan. The final offer will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to, the responsibilities of the job, experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as the job location, applicability of a collective bargaining agreement, length of service, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
