As our Operations Team Lead, you’ll guide a skilled crew through a fast-paced day—coordinating work, clearing roadblocks, and coaching teammates to their best.A day in the roleKick off with a stand-up: align priorities, share updates, and set expectations for the shift.Walk the floor to verify adherence to policies, procedures, and safety requirements.Balance workload and optimize throughput—make on-the-fly adjustments to hit daily goals.Mentor operators: reinforce best practices, answer questions, and model problem-solving.Lead training for new hires and continue upskilling the team.Track time and attendance and address issues promptly and fairly.Host touchpoints with management to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Troubleshoot operational and employee concerns, escalating when appropriate.Champion EHS practices and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment.Leverage MRP data to plan work; familiarity with Global Shop Solutions is a strong plus.What you bringHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional education in management or a related field is a plus.Hands-on experience leading teams in a production or similar setting.Clear, confident communication and relationship-building skills.Ability to motivate a diverse team and inspire accountability.Strong judgment with a track record of sound decisions under pressure.Comfort using performance metrics and quality standards to guide work.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.Meticulous organization and attention to detail.Background with CNC and assembly line operations; machinist experience is advantageous.Tools and proficienciesCNC Machine Setup & ChangeoverWorkplace Safety & EHS ManagementMRP/ERP familiarity (Global Shop Solutions preferred)Microsoft Office SuiteIf you thrive on guiding people and improving processes, we’d love to meet you in Muskegon.
