Join our team today and help us build something great!Job Title: Sheet Metal SuperintendentSalary Range: $45.00-$60.00/Hour DOEStart Date: ImmediatelyJob Type: Full TimePosition Overview: JR & Co. is looking for a Traveling Sheet Metal Superintendent to lead commercial roofing projects in Colorado Springs. Youll oversee crews, manage resources, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and under budget. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader who thrives in the field, builds strong teams, and drives quality and productivity. Join a stable, safety-first company with growth opportunities and a strong project backlog.Essential Functions:Provide daily leadership and oversight of field crews and subcontractors, ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards are metConduct daily jobsite visits and inspections to ensure workmanship and OSHA complianceLead pre-construction meetings and coordinate with Project Managers and ForemenPlan and schedule materials, equipment, subcontractors, and manpower to prevent delaysProactively identify and resolve jobsite issues to maintain schedule and budgetEnforce safety standards, address hazards immediately, and stop work if necessaryTrack project progress and communicate completion percentages for billingSubmit weekly reports detailing progress, safety, quality, and impactsIdentify and report change orders and cost impacts promptlyPerform final quality inspections and ensure projects are completed on time and under budgetRequired Skills and Abilities:OSHA 30-Hour Certification requiredEM385-1-1 and 24-Hour Fall Protection Training preferred/required (as applicable)Certified in rigging, signaling, and operating equipmentProven ability to lead crews, manage resources, and deliver projects successfullyStrong ability to read and interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, and specificationsExcellent decision-making skills with a high level of accountabilityStrong time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentEffective written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated leadership style that is situational, team-focused, and results-drivenProfessional demeanor with the ability to represent the company positively with customers and team membersEducation and Experience:High School Diploma and GED5-10 years in construction and sheet metal roofing industry2 years of leadership/team management experienceWork Environment/Physical Requirements:Pass initial drug test and participate in random drug test programSome indoor office environments (approximately 20% office)Primarily outdoor environments in all types of weather (approximately 80% fieldwork)Ability to perform elevated work (work on rooftops, heights)Frequently lift and carry 50lbs or greaterFrequent bending, kneeling, walkingOvertime and weekend workCompensation & Benefits Package:Weekly payCompany phone stipendCompany truck and fuel card or stipendHealth, dental, vision insuranceLife InsurancePaid time off401(k) with company matchPaid Parental LeaveWork/Location:In Person: Colorado Springs, CO 80939Frequent Travel RequiredIf youre looking for a stable, family-oriented company where you can grow your career and make a real impact, apply below!J.R. & Co., Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
