BartenderPosition Title: BartenderReports To: Food and Beverage SupervisorDepartment: LoungeDate: May 2026Position Summary: Responsible for providing beverage service to guests and maintains a high standard of cleanliness and service.Supervision Received: Supervision is received from the Food and Beverage Supervisor.Primary Function: Create a memoryEssential Functions:Takes orders and rings them in correctly.Maintains proper control of liquor transactions and bar inventory.Ensures customer identification for legal drinking age.Prepares each drink using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.Maintains liquor, beer, and wine stock to appropriate levels.Performs closing duties on a nightly basis, in a timely fashion.Ensures that each transaction is rung up immediately, payment is collected and a receipt is issued. Finalizes all outstanding charges.Adheres to company policies and liquor laws.Complete check out for all tickets and payment received at end of shift.Ensures that station is set up in an orderly and timely fashion.Maintains good service times.Make use of merchandizing techniques.Know the preparation time of all food and beverage menu items.Know all food and beverage sales prices.Anticipate the guest's needs.Attend Banquet Bars as neededComplies with all policies and procedures set forth by the Columbia Gorge Hotel Employee Handbook.Secondary Functions:Performs all other duties as assignedQualifications:Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Food Handler's Card and OLCC PermitMust be at least 21 years of ageAbility to work with a minimum of supervisionAbility to maintain a professional appearance at all timesAbility to stand and/or walk for entire shiftAbility to carry and balance traysAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to read and follow both verbal and written instructionsAbility to work well under pressureKnowledge of mixologyWorking Conditions:This position requires the ability to perform those activities necessary to complete the essential functions of the job, either with or without reasonable accommodation.Walking: 10%Standing: 75%Bending: 10%Lifting: 5% / up to 50 lbs.
