This position partners with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure technology solutions while contributing to software architecture, application performance, and development best practices.\n\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\nDesign, develop, test, implement, and maintain Java-based software applications, services, APIs, and system integrations.\nDevelop and support scalable microservices and distributed applications utilizing Java and related development frameworks.\nDesign, develop, and maintain database solutions, including data models, queries, and integrations across SQL and NoSQL environments.\nParticipate in the design and development of event-driven applications and system integrations.\nTroubleshoot, analyze, and resolve software defects, production issues, and application performance concerns.\nCollaborate with Product, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.\nPerform code reviews and contribute to development standards, technical documentation, and software engineering best practices.\nSupport application deployment, monitoring, performance optimization, and ongoing maintenance activities.\nParticipate in application architecture, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nEnsure software solutions are developed in accordance with established security, scalability, reliability, and compliance requirements.\nRemain current on emerging technologies, development methodologies, and industry trends and recommend improvements where appropriate.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\n\n3+ years of professional experience in Java development\nStrong proficiency in Spring Framework and Spring Boot\nHands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration and deployment\nSolid understanding of SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) including schema design and query optimization\nExperience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)\nPractical experience with Apache Kafka for building event-driven or streaming applications\nFamiliarity with RESTful API design principles and best practices\nExperience with version control using Git and CI/CD pipelines\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience developing reactive microservices using Spring WebFlux and Project Reactor, with a solid understanding of non-blocking I/O and reactive streams\nExperience with Docker and containerization workflows\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)\nKnowledge of observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus)\nUnderstanding of OAuth2 / JWT-based authentication and security patterns\nExposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies\nFintech Domain Experience:\nFamiliarity with loan origination systems (LOS)\nExperience working with loan servicing platforms (e.g., Loanpro)\nUnderstanding of end-to-end lending workflows including application intake, underwriting, decisioning, funding, and post-close processes\nKnowledge of consumer lending products such as personal loans, auto loans, mortgages, or lines of credit\nAwareness of regulatory and compliance requirements in lending (e.g., TILA, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA)\nExperience integrating with credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) or third-party data providers for identity verification and risk decisioning\nCOMPETENCIES:\nCustomer Service: Exceptional attitude and a passion for providing outstanding service to internal customers.\nProblem Solving and Analytical Thinking: Identifies, analyzes, and resolves technical issues effectively while evaluating alternative solutions and considering business impact.\nQuality Focus: Produces accurate, reliable, and maintainable work; follows established development standards, testing practices, and documentation requirements.\nCollaboration and Teamwork: Builds productive working relationships with team members and cross-functional partners; shares knowledge and contributes to team success.\nCommunication: Effectively communicates technical concepts, project status, risks, and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nContinuous Improvement: Demonstrates a commitment to learning, innovation, and process improvement; remains current on emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends.\nAccountability and Results Orientation: Takes ownership of assigned work, meets commitments and deadlines, and delivers high-quality solutions that support business objectives.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY\nNone\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and sit for a minimum of 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
