Occupational Therapist

Position Overview: We are seeking an OTR to help with temporary work (leaves) and a backlog of OT Assessments. The maternity leave is approximately three months and after this is completed the school will need help with a substantial amount of OT assessments. We need an OTR with an adventurous spirit and love for children. Experience in the schools preferred, but we can mentor/train a clinical pediatric occupational therapist that wants to gain experience working in the schools. This is also a great opportunity to add a great experience item to your resume.Job Specifics:The occupational therapist for this position will select and administer assessments and observations to students in accordance with their IEPs to help them thrive in every learning environment, develop evaluations and identify the next steps for student growth and well-being, assess student needs in their ongoing development, evaluate and provide intervention to students, maintain clear and organized records of each referred student, and closely collaborate with the Special Education team on student needs. The occupational therapist shall clearly communicate with school leaders, teachers, and families about individual student’s progress and ways to assist student growth.The OT candidate must have at least a bachelor’s degree in occupational and necessary licensing/certifications, in accordance with federal and state laws.
