Live in beautiful Sonoma County amongst vineyards, redwood forests, rivers, lakes, and coastline while working on state-of-the-art ICs and devices.\n\nSemiconductor Process Development Engineers at HFTC are responsible for advanced process development and sustaining of custom, cutting edge, micro and nano-fabrication technologies for high performance microwave and millimeter-wave applications. The technologies include InP and GaAs-based HBTs, HEMTs, diodes, BOLT, and other advanced electronic components which enable key competitive differentiation of Keysight’s industry-leading RF, microwave, and high bit rate instruments.\n\nThe focus of this position will be on wafer fab processing that includes PVD (evaporation and sputtering), wet etch, autovisual, and metrology. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:\n\nOwnership of PVD processes and equipment to drive production sustaining and R&D activities\nCollaborate with Operations Group to implement robust process control and support production processes; diagnose and resolve process problems\nWork closely with other process, integration, product, and circuit design engineers to define process and device performance targets\nDefine process flows, develop new PVD, wet etch, autovisual, or metrology measurement processes and drive continuous process improvement (CPI) efforts to maximize product yield\nEnsure successful transfer and maintenance of new technologies in manufacturing. Project objectives will encompass performance, reliability, and manufacturing goals.\nLead capital equipment acquisition projects that include tool evaluation, characterization, process development, and qualification\nParticipate in R&D activities to develop new unit processes for future technology platforms. Facilitate transition of semiconductor product design and enhancements to full production/delivery.\nQualifications:\n\nB.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or equivalent experience.\nMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience in PVD (evaporation & sputter deposition), wet etch, dry etch, autovisual inspection, metrology, and other related processes\nExperience with advanced semiconductor processes and devices is required and specific skills in III-V semiconductor processing with a strong chemistry background is preferred\nExperience with statistical process control and design of experiments is a valued qualification.\nCandidates must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills for successful inter and intra-group interactions.\nMust be highly motivated to accomplish all the tasks required to meet aggressive product development schedules and world class manufacturing expectations\n\nThe role will be based at our HQ in Santa Rosa, CA. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to Santa Rosa area.\n\nThis position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations.
