Travel RN - Med/Surg - Oncology

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for an Outpatient Infusion Center position requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification and prior chemotherapy administration experience.Job Details• Outpatient Oncology Infusion Center setting within a large academic medical center,• Treatment modalities include chemotherapy/biotherapy infusions, blood product administration, Bone Marrow Transplant patient care, clinical trial administration and monitoring, phlebotomy and lab draws, procedural care, and urgent care visits,• Day shift with variable clinic hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-8:30pm, Saturday and Sunday 7:30am-4:00pm,• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week,• Weekend availability required as needed (clinic is open Saturday and Sunday),• Holiday coverage required as needed,• No on-call responsibilities,Job Requirements• Active RN license in North Carolina (or a Compact RN license) required,• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required,• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification required,• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required,• Prior chemotherapy administration experience required,• Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred,Additional Information• Provides patient and family education and emotional support throughout the course of treatment visits,• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care,• Performs point-of-care testing and coordinates discharge planning for complex patients,• Two professional references required for consideration,• Background check and drug screen required prior to start; plan for at least 2 weeks for results to be returned
