The position also designs and develops new applications software on responsible systems. This is an entry level position.\n\nEXPECTATIONS OF EMPLOYEE\nAdhere to College Policy and Procedures\nAct as a role model within and outside the College\nPerform Duties as workload necessitates\nMaintain a positive and respectful attitude\nCommunicate regularly with supervisor about Department issues\nDemonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload\nConsistently report to work on time prepared to perform duties of position\nMeet Department productivity standards\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nProvide support to administrative computer users\nApplication software:\nModify and maintain all software supplied by outside vendors\nModify and maintain all software developed by ITS staff\nDesign and develop new applications software\nDevelop and maintain relevant documentation\nSupport from outside vendors\nAssist Systems Programmer in coordinating support from Jenzabar on administrative software problems\nAssist Manager of Administrative Computing in coordinating support from Jenzabar on problems related to JICS\nOther duties as assigned\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation and / or Experience - Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nCommunication / Language - Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.\nMathematical - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\nReasoning - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
