Job Summary The Welder performs various manual MIG and TIG welding of stainless-steel products to build diesel exhaust system components. Perform various types of MIG and TIG welds as required Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints to ensure proper processes are used Check measurements and dimensions of parts with calipers, tape measure, and height gage Use appropriate power and air tools (grinders, drills, die grinders, various hand tools) Proficient in operating plasma cutting equipment Flexible to work with various types of parts on any given day and apply quick changeover processes to ensure production needs are met Maintain high quality work while being highly productive to meet daily production needs Follow state and company safety regulations and rules Job Skills Team player with a great attitude toward helping ESW Group meet its business objectives Strong knowledge and experience in metal fabrication Willingness to follow OSHA requirements and company safety policies Strong track record of attendance and dependability Self-starter and self-disciplined in accomplishing tasks Job Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand; walk; bend or twist at waist, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is often required to lift items over 55 lbs. Work Environment This job operates in a manufacturing facility environment, with industrial equipment. Noise levels fluctuate from moderate to high. While performing duties of this job, the employee must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This PPE will vary based upon type of work performed but often will include safety glasses, helmet, and protective clothing. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and includes an unpaid lunch break of thirty (30) minutes, and two paid breaks of fifteen (15) minutes each. Travel Occasional travel during the work day may be required between facility location, approximately 1 mile apart.
