The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS, infrastructure as code, containerization, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.\n\nThis individual will work closely with software developers, cloud engineers, security teams, and other technical stakeholders to build and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable environments. The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will also help drive automation and security best practices throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle.\n\nDesign, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure in AWS.\nDevelop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or OpenTofu.\nBuild, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, testing, security scanning, and deployments.\nDeploy, configure, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.\nDevelop and maintain Helm charts and deployment configurations for Kubernetes environments.\nIntegrate security practices and tools throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.\nIdentify opportunities to improve automation, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.\nSupport AWS cloud architecture, engineering, administration, and security efforts.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, application, deployment, and security issues.\nImplement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities across cloud and containerized environments.\nWork closely with development and security teams to promote DevSecOps best practices and a secure-by-design approach.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, and operational processes.\nEvaluate new technologies and tools to improve infrastructure, automation, security, and deployment capabilities.\n\nPosition Requirements\n\nMinimum Requirements:\n\nExperience:\n\nExtensive experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, or a similar technical role.\nStrong hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting AWS cloud environments.\nExperience with AWS cloud architecture, engineering, and security best practices.\nStrong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or OpenTofu.\nExperience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.\nStrong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.\nExperience building and managing containerized applications using Docker.\nExperience creating and managing Kubernetes deployments using Helm.\nStrong Linux system administration and troubleshooting experience.\nExperience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.\nExperience troubleshooting complex infrastructure, application, networking, and deployment issues.\nStrong understanding of cloud security principles, access management, networking, and secure infrastructure design.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional technical teams.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience supporting AWS environments within large, complex, or highly regulated organizations.\nExperience implementing DevSecOps practices in a government, federal, or enterprise environment.\nExperience with automated security scanning, vulnerability management, and compliance automation.\nFamiliarity with GitOps practices and modern deployment methodologies.\nExperience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.\nAWS certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, or AWS Security Specialty.\nExperience with WANDS is highly desired.\nExperience working in Agile development environments.\n\nEducation:\n\nA Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university\n\nCertifications:\n\nDesirable: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365.\n\nIdeal Candidate\n\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on senior engineer who is comfortable working across cloud infrastructure, automation, containers, CI/CD, and security. They should be able to troubleshoot complex technical issues, recommend improvements, and help guide technical decisions while remaining actively involved in engineering and implementation.\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nThis is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required.
