This position is located in Kettering, OH.\nJob Responsibilities/Duties:\nIdentify, describe, and apply emerging IT acquisition strategies, best practices, IT-related performance measures, and quality management in support of acquisition planning, information assurance/cybersecurity, test and evaluation processes, verification and validation processes, and/or fielding and sustaining of lT/software systems.\nConduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system-level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications.\nPerform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design, and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications.\nPrepare technical documentation that defines, specifies, and recommends system/subsystem characteristics.\nPrepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective action using the application of engineering principles.\nPerform validation of software systems, including development of analyses/evaluation criteria and procedures, analyses/evaluation of results, and related recommendations.\nProvide Agile and Digital system/program engineering, technical support, and technical training to support programs/initiatives, including, but not limited to, acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight.\nProvide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with AF Systems Engineering Assessment Model (SEAM) processes.\nPerform all (system) engineering according to applicable DOD, AF, AFMC directives, instructions, and manuals, to include, but not be limited to, AFI 63-101, AFMAN 63-144, AFMCI 63-1202, AFMAN 63-128, AF/ 99-103, and their updates, successors (as happens over time).\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequired Experience:\nAdvanced Degree (MA/MS) or Doctorate from an ABET-accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other Engineering Discipline, and 10 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or\nBA/BS Degree from an ABET-accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other Engineering Discipline, and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or\n15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoD.\nCompTIA Security+ CE.\nCertifications Requirements (Possesses any or all of the following certifications).\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect (or associate)\nAWS Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Axure equivalent\nCurrent certification in Oracle/OCI products and/or databases\nAgile/Scrum Certifications - desired\nMust be a U.S. citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.\nMust possess and maintain a Tier 1/NACI clearance.\nMust be able to travel up to 15% of the time.\nEqual Opportunity: Avion Solutions, Inc. reaffirms its belief in equal employment opportunity for all employees and applicants.
