This key role handles a wide variety of challenging structural design projects. Although the position is in Florida, project work will also include New England, New York, and other states. Will also consider a qualified candidate for Portland or Topsham, Maine offices.\nSalary range is $78,000 - $125,000/yr.\nNOTE: Final salary is based on education, experience, certifications, and location.\nResponsibilities\nStructural design of water and wastewater treatment and civil/industrial infrastructure facilities.\nPrepare structural design budgets.\nVisually assess buildings, tanks, and other structures and document deficiencies.\nEvaluate feasibility of proposed renovations and modifications to existing infrastructure.\nDesign new, and renovations of existing, low-rise buildings constructed of reinforced concrete, masonry, wood, and steel.\nDesign above and below grade reinforced concrete tanks.\nTailor and prepare project specific structural specifications.\nCollaborate with multi-discipline project teams including architectural, process, civil, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical disciplines using Bluebeam.\nPerform drawing work with Revit and work with Revit technicians.\nConstruction cost estimating.\nPrepare “Punch Lists” of noted construction deficiencies and work remaining.\nReview structural construction submittals and respond to contractor requests for information.\nEssential Functions\nStrong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.\nPersonal organization and time management skills.\nBuild strong relationships with coworkers.\nExcellent attention to detail and work ethic.\nWork with others in multiple offices using Bluebeam & Microsoft Teams.\nCoordinate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project management teams.\nHave experience using Revit for structural engineering drawing production.\nExperience\n5-15 years of structural engineering experience, preferably within the municipal water or wastewater engineering industry.\nExperienced with Revit and structural design software (STAAD or Tekla Structural Designer).\nCertifications\nEngineer in Training Certification required.\nRegistered Professional Engineer preferred.\nEducation\nBS Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
