Forklift OperatorThis facility will be sorting packages into categories, and preparing the items for shipment. The employee operates powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities.Forklift Operator Job ResponsibilitiesSafe and efficient operation of all power operated equipment that requires certificationSafe and efficient movement of product; including loading and unloading trucksAccurately pick and pack items for shipment with a forkliftWork with inventory control on correct product placementComplete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentationMaintain warehouse order to ensure pallet locations are kept available for incoming itemsEnsure all items not required short term are restocked according to established proceduresUpdate warehouse management system with transactionPerforms daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedureAssist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveriesAssist in cycle counting and periodic inventoriesAssist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectationsUpdate supervisor and team lead on issues or concernsParticipate in process improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team leadMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaSupport and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices, and work instructions (ISO standards where applicable).All other duties as assigned.Forklift Operator Job QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentOne (1) to Three (3) years of previous Hi-Lo experienceMust be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions in EnglishAbility to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracyAbility to lift/move up to 35 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environmentValid driver's licenseLifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of timeEmployees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operationsCrown Staffing provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
