This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical skills to meaningful projects in the healthcare industry while working with a talented and supportive team.\n\nResponsibilities:\nSoftware Development:\nWrite, test, and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable Python code to support various health-related software projects.\nImplement backend services, APIs, and integrations with other systems, including healthcare platforms (e.g., EHR/EMR systems).\nCollaborate with senior developers and other team members to troubleshoot and debug code effectively.\nDatabase Management:\nDevelop and optimize interactions with databases such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases like MongoDB.\nWrite queries and ensure proper data manipulation, retrieval, and storage for healthcare applications.\nPerform data validation and ensure data integrity and consistency.\nIntegration & APIs:\nAssist in designing and building RESTful APIs, enabling data exchange between healthcare systems.\nTesting & Debugging:\nPerform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to identify and resolve programming errors.\nImplement test automation scripts to ensure the continued reliability and performance of applications.\nActively participate in debugging issues and fixing bugs across development and production environments.\nCollaboration & Documentation:\nWork closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, senior engineers, and quality assurance teams, to deliver solutions that meet business and customer requirements.\nDocument code, workflows, and best practices to support team knowledge-sharing and long-term platform maintainability.\nLearning & Development:\nStay updated on new tools, technologies, and best practices in Python programming and healthcare IT.\nSeek feedback and mentorship from team members to continually improve skills, coding practices, and technical knowledge.\nQualifications:\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\n2+ years of professional Python programming experience.\nProficiency with Python, including experience with libraries such as PySpark, Pandas, NumPy, Polars, or similar frameworks.\nBasic understanding of database management and querying using SQL and/or NoSQL databases like Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.\nFamiliarity with version control tools like Git for collaborative development workflows.\nExperience using Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum), JIRA and other tools to plan Sprints and track the status of changes and testing.\nExperience writing and executing unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with individuals across multiple disciplines.\nWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and healthcare compliance requirements.\nStrong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, concise manner.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience in federal consulting.\nDemonstrated experience with healthcare data projects (e.g. claims processing or payment systems) or financial/banking systems.\nAwareness of healthcare domain challenges, such as compliance with HIPAA.\nKnowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or other providers).\n\nTarget Salary Range: $70,000 - $104,000\n\nDisclaimer:\nThe salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
