Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Management Analyst with expertise in Navy ERP (SAP ECC) and Navy financial execution processes, systems, and controls. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional and operational knowledge of Navy financial environments and demonstrate the ability to bridge the gap between Navy ERP technical functionality and financial, operational, and leadership stakeholders. This role requires a professional who can support financial execution and process improvement efforts while mentoring government personnel and contractor staff on Navy ERP capabilities and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a Financial Management analyst supporting Navy financial execution, funds control, and reporting activities.
Provide Mid-level functional support for Navy ERP (SAP ECC), including configuration understanding, transaction processing, and data analysis (SAP Modules MM, SD, FI).
Knowledge of related Navy systems (e.g., DTS, WAWF, G-Invoicing, or other feeder systems).
Translate Navy ERP system functionality into actionable guidance for financial managers, program offices, and leadership.
Analyze financial transactions and system data to identify errors, inefficiencies, and control gaps; recommend corrective actions.
Support audit readiness, FIAR, and internal controls activities related to Navy ERP financial processes.
Develop and deliver training, job aids, SOPs, and briefings to Navy personnel on Navy ERP financial functionality.
Collaborate with functional, technical, and operational teams to improve system utilization and process alignment.
Provide advisory support on Navy financial policies, guidance, and system integrations impacting Navy ERP.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years of DoD or Navy financial management experience, with significant Navy ERP exposure.
Functional knowledge of Navy ERP (SAP ECC) financial modules and execution processes.
Strong understanding of Navy financial execution lifecycle, including budgeting, execution, reconciliation, and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to explain complex Navy ERP accounting functionality to non-technical users.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency with financial reporting tools and data analysis (e.g., Excel, BI tools, or similar).
Desired Qualifications
Experience supporting Navy Financial Management execution and accounting.
Knowledge of related Navy systems (e.g., DTS, WAWF, G-Invoicing, or other feeder systems).
Experience developing process documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
Prior consulting or advisory support experience in a Navy financial environment.
Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CDFM, PMP, SAP-related training).
