{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"54a2e3a8cf4a0907f8ae4c12","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/54a2e3a8cf4a0907f8ae4c12","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/54a2e3a8cf4a0907f8ae4c12","title":"Mechanical Assembler","description":"Description:\nAssembles, installs, and adjusts variety of component parts on units according to drawings and written customer specifications, using hand tools, assembly fixtures, and test devices.\nJob Responsibilities/Key Accountabilities\nRead drawings or customer specifications to determine position of unit component parts.\nPositions components and installs fixtures.\nInspect products to verify that optional equipment changes have been made according to customer specifications.\nClean dust and dirt off building panels and electrical components.\nGather supplies and tools needed to complete jobs.\nDrill and tap holes to install floor plates and thresholds.\nUse grinders to grind knots off floor and panels prior to painting.\nComplete work according to specified schedule and complete traveler documents in detail.\nVerify correct paint colors are being used by reading drawing and customer specifications.\nAssemble units and tests units for proper performance using such devices as gauges, test lights, hand tools, and related electronic devices.\nMay install windows, door panes, handles, drains or other accessories.\nClean up work area and return tools and supplies to appropriate places each day.\nWork safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.\nPerform additional duties as requested\nRequirements:\nAbility to follow verbal and written instructions\nFlexibility and ability to work under production pressure.\nAbility to work in cooperation with other team members.\nMust be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, work on knees for extended periods of time, work on ladders at heights and lift up to 50 lbs.\nMust be able to work in enclosed spaces for extended periods of time.\nAbility to perform basic math calculations and measurements.\nAdditional skills desired:\nDetail oriented.\nPrior industrial painting experience, auto painting may be suitable exp.\nForklift certification or ability to obtain certification.\nEducational Requirements/Degree(s)\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.
