ESY Teacher - Coordinator/Work Based Learning

General Purpose of Job: To inspire and prepare each scholar with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning.The goal of the K-12 Extended School Year (ESY) services is to help students maintain their current level of functioning. ESY service providers will address areas of need through using instructional materials provided by service providers who work with the student during the course of the regular school year.Responsibilities and tasks include: Position provides instruction and support in vocational and transition curriculum in community volunteer and paid employment sites. Implement the goals and objectives of the District and the school and/or program for which employed. Assist case manager in IEP development. Maintain communications with parents, case managers, and community stakeholders and work with them in the development of each student.Minimum Qualifications IncludeValid Minnesota teaching license in Teacher-Coordinator Work Based Learning and Special Education*and/or authorizes the district to complete an Out of Field Permission request (OFP) request.
