We are seeking a strong Backend / Platform Engineer to join a fast-paced engineering team focused on platform reliability, automation, and release engineering. This role is ideal for someone with a strong software engineering background who enjoys debugging complex systems, improving deployment workflows, and working closely with containerized environments and CI/CD pipelines.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend/platform solutions using Python Manage Docker-based packaging and containerized deployment workflows Support GitHub workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and OSS release cycles Debug and troubleshoot model training workloads and system-level issues Improve automation, reliability, and operational efficiency across engineering processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support releases and platform stability Drive continuous improvements in tooling, testing, and deployment processes Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience with Python Experience with Docker and container-based environments Proficiency with GitHub workflows and CI/CD processes Exposure to OSS/Open Source release management Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills Background in software engineering with testing experience Understanding of system reliability and automation best practices Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting model training or ML workloads Familiarity with release engineering processes Experience working in high-ownership, fast-moving environments Strong problem-solving and communication skills Work ArrangementHybrid role based in San Jose, CA Competitive rate: $75/hr If interested, please share your updated resume along with your availability for a quick discussion.
