Vacancy DetailView vacancy listContact us on WhatsAppSocial Worker - Children with DisabilitiesPro Social Partners are working with a client in West Berkshire who are seeking permanent Social Workers/Seniors within the Children with Disabilities service paying up to £50,418 (including retention and Golden Hello).About the Role; Conducting assessments and formulating care plans.Undertaking direct work with children and families.Collaborating with partner agencies to coordinate services.Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Utilising the Family Safeguarding Model you will work in collaboration with other specialist workers including Domestic Abuse Practitioners, Recovery Workers and Mental Health Practitioners to offer group based interventions to families.Adopting a strengths based approach and applying motivational interviewing techniques you will work with our families to identify what changes need to be made in their daily life and support them to achieve these.You will have the opportunity to work directly with children to understand what’s important to them.Your work will take a holistic view of the individual across both their immediate and extended social circles, having full regard to their overall development needs.You will access high quality reflective supervision within a multi-disciplinary forum to strengthen information sharing and decision making.To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:A recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work EnglandA genuine passion for working with children and families, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and supportExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, service users, and external stakeholdersThe ability to work autonomously, managing a varied workload and prioritising tasks effectivelySound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures within the social care sectorWest Berkshire Offer Excellent Employment Benefits Such AsFlexible working wherever possible between the hours of 07.00-19.00Access to a wide range of training and development opportunitiesGenerous Local Government pension schemeFamily friendly policiesA range of local discountsWellbeing Programme including Employee Assistance Programme and employee benefitsYou will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement starting at 29 days per annum (plus public holidays) Rising by an additional 5 days after 5 years’ service.Location: West Berkshire | Salary: £34834 - £41418 per year | Job type: Permanent | Posted: 22/04/2024Apply for this Vacancy
