You will act as a design advisor and technical authority for our premium doors. We prioritize education, clarity, and confidence over traditional, high-pressure sales. Your job is to ensure every project meets the client's exact needs—all while managing custom pricing and hitting strict response quotas. The Door Advisor is paramount in ensuring a seamless customer journey. We combine premium craftsmanship with sophisticated technical design to build doors that are as structurally uncompromising as they are beautiful.Key ResponsibilitiesConsult & Guide: Act as the primary technical advisor, guiding architects, builders, and homeowners from initial inquiry through final order placement.Technical Authority: Address complex client inquiries regarding custom pricing, technical specifications, design feasibility, and our general manufacturing process.Design Customization: Guide clients through standard customizations for our 30 base designs and help spec out fully custom concepts.Project Timelines: Evaluate material availability and design feasibility to set accurate lead times, including managing rush orders.Pricing & Quoting: Calculate custom quotes and assist customers in navigating our online procurement platform for catalog solutions.Technical Sourcing: Collaborate with specialty vendors to secure pricing for unique lumber species, custom hardware, specialty glass, and bespoke metal elements.Active Communication: Manage incoming calls and voicemails while responding to all email inquiries with a refined, professional polish.Fast Communication: Respond to all new inquiries within 24 hours and maintain a strict 2-day maximum turnaround for ongoing updates.Pipeline Management: Track 100% of leads and update project statuses in real-time using our CRM (Monday.com).Accuracy & Discipline: Execute a thorough double-check of all project quotes and correspondence to ensure absolute accuracy and thoroughness.Required QualificationsTech Self-Sufficiency & Mac OS : Must be highly comfortable working daily on Apple/Mac computers. Requires a high baseline of computer literacy, including efficient use of keyboard shortcuts, fast typing (50+ WPM), and the ability to troubleshoot basic software issues independently.Core Software Proficiency : Mandatory daily use of Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs) and Monday.com. You must be able to seamlessly manage workflows, input CRM data in real-time and possess the ability to learn new software.Communication : Comfortable managing extensive high-end client calls using soft phones.Experience : 2+ years in technical sales, high-end consulting, or premium customer service.Professional Literacy : Exceptional professional email etiquette (proper grammar/spelling) and clear, legible handwriting for physical notes and diagrams.Math & Spatial Aptitude : Strong basic math skills for accurately calculating dimensions, spatial clearances, and matrix pricing.Organization : High-level time management to independently juggle multiple complex projects simultaneously.Character & Composure : Unwavering integrity and a commandingly positive phone presence. This requires self-aware problem-solving and the discipline to seek clarification on ambiguous technical instructions, while maintaining a calm, steady demeanor during high-pressure client scenarios.Preferred SkillsProject & E-commerce Software : Experience with project management/CRM tools (Monday.com or similar) and proficiency in managing digital orders via high-volume e-commerce backends (WooCommerce, WordPress, etc.).Technical Design Literacy : A foundational background in construction, architecture, interior design, or building materials, including the ability to read or interpret architectural blueprints and technical specifications.Installation Troubleshooting : Strong technical comprehension of door installation procedures and mechanical aptitude for remote diagnostics over the phone.Work Environment & Experience : Prior hands-on experience in woodworking or construction, demonstrating the capacity to maintain rigorous focus and accuracy within a high-tempo manufacturing environment.Schedule & CompensationPay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour (Based on experience).Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.Benefits: Accrued Paid Time Off (PTO) and 5 annual paid holidays.Company Description At Pivot Door Company, we engineer the first impression.
