Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool (Nights) Location: Rockford, IllinoisFacility: Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center - RiversideJob Type: Contract | 13 WeeksStart Date: Immediate / Quick Start AvailablePosition Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Float Pool team for a night shift assignment. This role supports multiple units including Medical-Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU. Candidates must be comfortable working in high-acuity environments and flexible with unit assignments based on patient care needs.Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards, policies, and state regulations Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Accurately document patient care in accordance with facility standards Provide patient and family education to support recovery and care continuity Support performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes Float to various units as required based on staffing needs Required Qualifications Active Illinois RN License Minimum 2 years of nursing experience , including ICU experience (required) Strong cardiac care experience Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required) Certifications Required BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Assignment Details Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Schedule: 36 hours per week Contract Length: 13 weeks Positions Available: 4 EMR System: EPIC Holiday Coverage: Required Overtime: Applicable per facility guidelines Thanks & RegardsMavia Khan
