This is a fully remote role and would be for around 150 hours per month.\n\n*Summary*\n\nThe customer is looking for firm that can supply an experienced construction attorney to assist in providing construction related legal advice and post award contract administration support on major live projects. The attorney will primarily focus on construction in Arizona and New Mexico and other US geographies.\n\n*Role*:\n* 30-40 hours a week support and availability during working hours of the project team (7AM-5PM AZ) to join phone calls & meetings.\n* Tasks include drafting bespoke contract templates; revising industry standard templates to reflect tailored risk allocation specific to project needs;.\n* Working collaboratively with business managers during the negotiation of construction contracts with contractors, designers, and material suppliers.\n* Providing legal advice to project managers under pressure to deliver projects on time and under budget; evaluating construction related claims and disputes; providing \"hot line\" legal advice depending on what legal issues project teams encounter, and providing legal advice specific to the local geography.\n* Candidates should have an understanding of customary industry contracting practices, experience with construction related insurance issues, experience resolving construction related disputes (change order requests, nonconforming work, delay), and/or exposure to construction litigation/arbitration.\n\n*Duration*: The anticipated duration of the placement is 24 months. There is likely to be interest in extending the engagement depending on the company's portfolio. Week to week & month to month, the workload will be variable. Some weeks may require 20-25 hours of work. Some weeks may require 35+ hours. On average, we project ~150 hours per month.\n\n*Location:* There is flexibility regarding location.
