Job Title: Tooling Design EngineerLocation: Charlotte, NC About the RoleWe're hiring a Tooling Design Engineer to lead the design and development of tooling, fixtures, and production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is highly design-focused, owning tooling from concept through implementation to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop tooling, fixtures, and workholding solutionsOwn CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentationSupport new product launches with tooling and manufacturability inputTroubleshoot tooling and equipment issues on the production floorDrive improvements in cycle time, quality, and process efficiencyAssist in validation, process readiness, and implementation of engineering changesSupport lean manufacturing initiatives and structured problem-solving effortsContribute to preventative maintenance strategies tied to tooling systemsCollaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineeringQualificationsA.S Engineering2-5 years in tooling design or manufacturing engineeringStrong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)Experience in fabrication, welding, or assembly environments preferredKnowledge of GD&T and design for manufacturabilityHands-on problem-solver in a production setting
