Installation & Service Technician - HVAC Onalaska & La Crosse Area

Gas and Pellet Service Technician/Installer This person must perform professional in-home fireplace/insert and free-standing stove sales, installation, service and maintenance work. This position will work closely with our other installers and production manager to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-efficient work is performed while providing optimal customer service. Overall Objective: To optimize quality of service, company growth and customer satisfaction while maintaining a high quality of workmanship. Hours: Full Time - Non-Seasonal Position responsibilities include: Maintain, diagnose, and repair gas/pellet fireplaces, stoves, and inserts, and related components with accuracy and efficiency. Replace fireplace/stove components/parts with accuracy and efficiency. Provide preventive maintenance and present the benefits to residential homeowners. Provide superior customer service, safety, professionalism, and attention to detail. Follow up on customer calls in a timely manner. Turn in appropriate checklists and customer payment to production manager within 24 hours after each job. Price, document and explain installation on-site to homeowner and obtain customer acceptance signature. Occasionally sell hearth products, services and accessories; pellet fuel; pellet grills, services and accessories; etc. On sales floor. Participate in on-going scheduled product, sales, safety regulation and manufacturer training sessions. Be aware of all safety codes and manufacturer's’ specifications through installation manuals and local codes. Maintain working knowledge of all products and services as well as any manufacturer changes. Maintain company profit margins on sales and service. Communicate special notes and instructions on appropriate paperwork and verbally to production manager and other installers. Any other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications include: Professional experience necessary, and a strong desire and/or skill set of working with one’s hands, performing manual labor, or mechanics. We require that you are certified in HVAC and Gas Line Installation. Must be able to sit, stand, and crouch for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 300 pounds assisted given reasonable accommodations for short periods of time Forklift operation experience is a plus. CDL driver’s license is a plus. New Construction knowledge a plus. Qualities: Must have strong organizational and communication skills. Maintain effective communication with all departments. Ability to follow prescribed procedures. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. Ethical decision making a must.
