Job Overview The Miscellaneous Metals Installer will be responsible for installing a variety of fabricated metal products on commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential construction projects. This position requires the ability to read drawings, perform accurate layouts, operate equipment safely, and work closely with fellow crew members to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Install miscellaneous metals including: Stairs handrails and guardrails Ladders and cage ladders Platforms and catwalks Structural support steel Bollards and protective barriers Decorative and architectural metalwork Custom fabricated metal assemblies Read and interpret: Shop drawings Structural drawings Architectural plans Field sketches and layout information Perform field measurements and verify dimensions before installation Operate power tools, drills, saws, grinders, impact tools, and other construction equipment Safely operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and material handling equipment when required Assist with rigging, hoisting, unloading, and staging materials Install products plumb, level, square, and according to project specifications Maintain jobsite cleanliness, organization, and safety Complete work efficiently while maintaining quality standards Qualifications Ability to read blueprints Ability to read and understand construction drawings Strong mechanical aptitude Experience using hand and power tools Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Strong attention to detail and workmanship Pay: From $28.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location: On the road
