In this role you will work largely independently in a fast‐paced, collaborative environment to maintain and expand our next‐generation network infrastructure. Responsibilities Manage work and prioritize through a ticketing system to complete customer requests and project deliverables. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to remove project obstacles and enable smooth execution. Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues including patch panels and patch cords. Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure proper hardware racking/stacking for new equipment. Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware. Track network rack intake and delivery, request rack space, power, and cooling, and partner with engineers to ensure configurations are ready. Support console and room builds, and work with ID‐Scaling peers to build higher‐level networking devices. Travel within and outside the regional work area as required; personal vehicle and driver's license are necessary. Physical Requirements Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds. Work in an environment that operates 24/7, including primary responder rotation and after‐hours support. Operate in cramped, elevated, and noisy environments. Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day. Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely. Basic Qualifications 1+ years of computer networking experience. 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds. Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in cramped or elevated spaces while adhering to health & safety guidelines. Strong customer interaction skills and ability to operate efficiently under pressure. Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system. Knowledge of cabling infrastructure best practices. Experience in a data center environment (racking, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment). Industry standard certification (CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+). Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools such as telnet, tracert, iperf, dig, and packet capture tools. Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP.
