This role works closely with electrical, mechanical, and test engineering to deliver reliable, high quality embedded systems from concept through production.\n\nKey Responsibilities And Accountabilities\nDesign, implement, and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller based products.\nDevelop low level drivers, communication stacks, and application level firmware.\nSupport new product development from architecture through production release.gns.\nSupport design verification, validation, and regulatory testing activities.\nDebug and resolve firmware issues using standard lab tools (JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).\nMaintain firmware documentation, revision control, and release notes.\nSupport manufacturing and field issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nAdapt to using tools and methods within an international development team using the Helix ALM development and tracking systems.\nRevision Control using Git Extensions.\nAdapt to use the Jenkins CI/CD workflow.\nEssential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.\n5+ years of experience developing embedded firmware.\nProficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.\nExperience working with microcontrollers and real time (RTOS) or bare metal environments.\nFamiliarity with version control systems.\nExperience with data base systems.\nAbility to work effectively in a cross functional engineering team and as a self-managed team of one for small. standalone development projects such as feature development.\nExperience with communication protocols (UART, SPI, I²C, Modbus, Ethernet).\nFamiliarity with hardware bring up and board level debugging.\nIAR development IDE.\nMySQL Workbench.\nPython, C# programming for instrument interfacing and MFG support.\nST or Renesas microprocessor Experience.\nExperience with Ethernet/IP, BACnet/IP or SNMP is an asset.\nExperience with boot loaders, in field firmware update techniques.\nExperience in the field of power and energy monitoring (metrology).\nFamiliarity with industrial cybersecurity.\nMentoring, collaboration, influencing, and negotiation skills.\nEncourages and demonstrates accountability.\nSuccessfully establishes and maintains long-term relationships.\nResult oriented and hands on\nEntrepreneurial, resourceful, innovative and energetic; demonstrates a passion for results and a winning outlook.\nAnalytical and detail-oriented.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills with the business acumen to clearly present concepts and ideas.\nConsistently demonstrates the highest level of integrity in all interactions and decision-making .\nCompensation: $120,000 to $130,000 USD\n\nUpon request, we will provide reasonable accommodation for disabilities to support participation of candidates in all aspects of the recruitment process.
