In the absence of the security manager, the supervisor will handle administrative duties and attend meetings as needed. They will facilitate the duties of security officers and ensure security requirements are being met. Additionally, they will work with vendors and internal staff to ensure all security equipment is operational.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nMonitor all security systems to include access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, and other electronic measures and become familiar with common troubleshooting measures\n\nDevelop and maintain positive relations with company stakeholders and external partners\n\nAdapt procedures and practices to maintain an appropriate security posture in a high profile, fast paced industrial environment\n\nTrain employees in emergency response measures, develop security procedures, and ensure compliance by security staff\n\nCommunicate effectively to a wide audience in a crisis or high stress environment\n\nMaintain security compliance and site access requirements\n\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent certificate\n\n6+ years of experience in the US military, sworn law enforcement, overseas contracting, or advanced corporate security realm\n\n3+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role\n\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\n\nExperience with Department of Homeland Security C-FATS (Chemical Facility Anti-terrorism Standards) and NISPOM (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual)\n\nIndustry certifications; CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), APP (Associate Protection Professional)\n\nPublic safety and emergency experience (First Aid/CPR training)\n\nExperience with Windows based operating systems\n\nExperience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)\n\nExperience with video management, access control, incident reporting, visitor management, and other security system software\n\nBasic knowledge and experience with installing and maintaining security systems\n\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS\n\nAvailability to work any schedule needed, to include nights, weekends and rotating shifts\n\nAbility and willingness to occasionally stand in a static position for extended periods\n\nAbility and willingness to work extended hours\n\nMust possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance\n\nAbility to lift or carry up to forty pounds of equipment or gear unassisted\n\nAbility to pass Air Force and NASA background checks for installation access as directed\n\nAbility to effectively execute duties in extreme outdoor environments – heat, cold, rain, etc.\n\nPosition is subject to pre-employment enhanced screening, including a background check, psychological test, bi-annual physical fitness test, and a drug and alcohol test\n\nPosition is subject to random drug and alcohol testing\n\nWillingness to travel up to 15% of time in support of SpaceX Security requirements should the need arise\n\nPossess or be eligible for a valid state security officer license\n\nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS\nPay Range: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00\n\nYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.\n\nBase salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
