Thrift Store Associate - Shift Lead

Thrift Store AssociateWe are looking for a reliable, organized, and compassionate Thrift Store Associate to join our Upscale Resale team. The Thrift Store Associate provides excellent customer service assisting customers, agency clients and donors with purchases and donations while creating a welcoming shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have retail experience including opening, closing and cash handling. This position is part-time and will serve as a shift lead and key holder following the initial training and orientation period.Reports to: Thrift Store ManagerSupervises: Assigned interns and volunteersPrimary Functions:Serve as shift lead and key holderCreate and maintain a welcoming, clean environment at the Thrift Store.Maintain an excellent rapport with donors, customers and volunteers.Sorting donated materials and setting up store displays for merchandise.Provide customer service by greeting customers, responding to customer inquiries and managing complaints.Maintain appropriate records and reports on store activities that include accurately reporting and depositing daily sales receiptsMaintain a sanitary and safe working environmentParticipate in DCFOF staff and education meetings as requestedThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by staff assigned to this position.
