Opportunity OverviewWe have an immediate opening for an Andrology Lab Technician to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility. This position will float between our offices in Webster, Houston, Memorial City, and Spring Woodlands, Texas.Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM Central Time; rotating weekends and holidaysThis role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day. Whether collaborating with more than 200 highly respected physicians nationwide or partnering with colleagues who are passionate about solving meaningful problems, you'll be surrounded by a team committed to shared success.In this role, the Andrology Lab Technician will:Ship, receive and disposition of frozen samplesOrder and receive lab suppliesExamine and process specimens for routine semen analysisPerform counts for concentration and motility, perform histological techniques for identifying leucocytes, immature germ cells and morphologyProcess semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs)Perform semen cryopreservationAssure proper sample collection, delivery and identification (chain of custody)Perform daily/monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the Andrology/Endocrine laboratoryAssist laboratory personnel in performing lab services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory maintains accreditationCheck and record daily temperature of refrigerators to ensure proper storage of media reagentsPerform quality controls, calibration and instrument preventive maintenance checks at the required frequency and documents such actionsMonitors supply of reagents and other material to ensure adequate supply at all times and orders supplies when necessaryWhat You'll BringB.S. in Biology or other relevant science and/or MLT ASCPMinimum of one year laboratory experienceExperience with a chemistry analyzer strongly preferredTissue culture experience (sterile technique) and/or semen processing a plusWe're looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experienceindividuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.Qualifications and Skills Include:More important than any single credential, however, is the right person.
