We are committed to equity, inclusion, and improving access to essential services for immigrant and refugee populations across Lincoln County, particularly those from the Latine and indigenous Mesoamerican communities.Position SummaryWe are seeking a Bilingual LGBT+ Outreach Specialist to join our team. This position plays a vital role in developing and facilitating LGBT+ programming and connecting underserved communities with essential health services and resources, while providing culturally and linguistically appropriate support primarily in Spanish and English. Please note that this is a temporary, grant-funded position that guarantees 1 year of employment with potential for permanent employment (dependent on grant funds and the organization’s budget).Key Responsibilities Develop and facilitate peer-led LGBT+ support circles, storytelling nights, family and leadership workshops, and creative art-based gatherings.Maintain, develop and deepen partnerships with local organizations and community leaders for resource sharing and joint programming.Assist individuals and families with Oregon Health Plan (OHP) applications, renewals, and navigation.Provide language support and interpretation in Spanish and English.Connect clients to services including healthcare, housing, food access, and education.Participate in and support culturally specific community events, including some evenings and weekends.Work with participants and community members in a culturally competent and accessible manner.Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and OHA guidelines.Complete and submit reports required by the organization.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsBilingual in Spanish and English (language support provided if needed).
