We are committed to equity, inclusion, and improving access to essential services for immigrant and refugee populations across Lincoln County, particularly those from the Latine and indigenous Mesoamerican communities.Position SummaryWe are seeking a Bilingual LGBT+ Outreach Specialist to join our team. This position plays a vital role in developing and facilitating LGBT+ programming and connecting underserved communities with essential health services and resources, while providing culturally and linguistically appropriate support primarily in Spanish and English. Please note that this is a temporary, grant-funded position that guarantees 1 year of employment with potential for permanent employment (dependent on grant funds and the organization’s budget).Key Responsibilities Develop and facilitate peer-led LGBT+ support circles, storytelling nights, family and leadership workshops, and creative art-based gatherings.Maintain, develop and deepen partnerships with local organizations and community leaders for resource sharing and joint programming.Assist individuals and families with Oregon Health Plan (OHP) applications, renewals, and navigation.Provide language support and interpretation in Spanish and English.Connect clients to services including healthcare, housing, food access, and education.Participate in and support culturally specific community events, including some evenings and weekends.Work with participants and community members in a culturally competent and accessible manner.Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and OHA guidelines.Complete and submit reports required by the organization.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsBilingual in Spanish and English (language support provided if needed). Fluency in an indigenous Mesoamerican/Central American language is a plus.Lived or working experience with LGBT+ community members (preferred).Experience working with underserved or vulnerable populations (preferred).Valid Community Health Worker (CHW) Certification, or willingness to obtain.Completion of OHP Application Assister Training, or willingness to obtain.Valid Oregon driver’s license and reliable transportation for work-related travel within Lincoln County (mileage reimbursement available).Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (accommodations available).Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.BenefitsEmployees working 32 hours or more per week are eligible for:Paid Time OffSick LeaveHealth insurance and premium reimbursement available.Training Provided Community Health Worker CertificationOHP Assister CertificationOngoing professional developmentEqual Opportunity EmployerArcoíris Cultural is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
