Position Details
The Director of Facilities is a dynamic leader who drives success through innovation, collaboration and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional leadership and communication skills to optimize operational efficiency across all facility operations. The successful candidate must also demonstrate strong critical thinking, personnel development and customer service skills.
The essential responsibilities of the Director of Facilities include, but are not limited to:
Directs facility planning, operation and maintenance
Develops and executes strategic plans and long-range programs for plant department
Consults with and advises senior leadership relative to facility operations to ensure optimal functioning
Assists in construction planning for organization
Works effectively with outside vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with organizational and governmental regulations
Oversees the activities related to maintenance and upkeep for all campuses
Leads maintenance staff and participates in the development of employees; demonstrates leadership skills in work delegation, supervision, coaching, and conflict resolution
Understands standards of all governing and accrediting bodies such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH)
Estimates, plans and controls departmental budget; designs budget management strategies that are in line with the organization's goals
Maintains inspections records and manages the preventive maintenance plan
Schedule
Full-time, Exempt
Monday-Friday daytime hours with occasional need to assist with facilities in evening, overnight, or weekends
What You Offer
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field preferred
Considerable knowledge in facility operations including mechanical, electrical systems, plumbing, boiler operation and general safety regulations
Previous management or supervisory experience; 5+ years preferred
Must possess a valid driver's license
