Work on high-voltage transmission projectsGrow your career in T&D engineeringAbout Our ClientWe are seeking a skilled Transmission Line Engineer to support the design and execution of high-voltage transmission projects across the Southwest. This role will focus on engineering and design for overhead transmission systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with utility and industry standards.Job DescriptionDesign and engineer overhead transmission lines ranging from 69kV to 500kV, including structure spotting, routing, and profile developmentPerform detailed analysis of transmission line systems, including sag & tension, line ratings, and clearance requirementsDevelop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and construction packagesSupport projects involving AC and HVDC systems, including integration with substations and grid infrastructureApply knowledge of reactive power compensation systems such as shunt reactors, series capacitors, and STATCOMs to maintain system stability and voltage controlCollaborate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to ensure successful project deliveryEnsure compliance with NESC, IEEE, and utility standardsProvide technical support during construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting phasesMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
