This role works closely with engineers and technicians to support the development, assembly, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of complex accelerator systems and equipment. The Engineering Technologist will help translate engineering requirements into field-ready work, resolve technical issues, and ensure changes are accurately communicated and documented.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nSupport engineers and technicians with assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Scorpius systems and equipment.\nInterpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and technical documentation to support field execution.\nAssist with design updates, redlines, configuration changes, and as-built documentation based on field conditions and engineering direction.\nCoordinate with engineering, operations, technicians, and other project teams to communicate technical changes and resolve issues.\nCollect measurements, test data, inspection results, and other technical information to support engineering evaluations.\nSupport equipment readiness, work planning, system integration, and turnover activities.\nIdentify field issues and provide practical feedback to improve designs, procedures, manufacturability, installation, and maintainability.\nPerform work in accordance with project procedures, quality requirements, and applicable safety standards.\n\nQualifications and Experience:\n\nAssociate or bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, mechanical technology, electrical technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.\nExperience supporting engineering, manufacturing, testing, maintenance, construction, or technical field operations.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical procedures.\nHands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, or integrated equipment systems preferred.\nExperience documenting field changes, test results, equipment conditions, or technical work activities.\nStrong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.\nExperience in DOE, national laboratory, accelerator, high-hazard, or other highly regulated environments is preferred.\n\nTravel:\n\nCompensation & Benefits:\n\nThe expected base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $130,000 USD per year.
