We have a legacy rooted in solving hard problems and tackling new business ventures.\nSummary\nThis position is responsible for assisting the Shipping and Storage Manager with maintaining control and accuracy of all paperwork and operations for the Shipping and Receiving department.\nResponsibilities\nWork with the Storage Managers to coordinate shipping loads based on run schedule, quality, and logistical considerations.\nBe a point of contact for customers and shared services regarding Dalhart chip logistics.\nProcess and prepare shipping and receiving documents.\nComplete daily data entry and reporting for shipment processing.\nOversee all orders and ensure they are completed correctly and shipped in a timely fashion.\nMaintain order and housekeeping of the shipping offices.\nFollow all safety policies and procedures.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nPhysical Demands\nWalking and working outdoors in the elements and in an office environment.\nStanding for extended periods of time.\nDriving between farm sites to move samples and other supplies.\nExpected Hours of Work\nShipping hours may vary per week and are dependent on customer needs and schedules.\nHarvest and planting seasons may require longer hours, including weekends.\nDesired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nAt least one year of experience coordinating the shipping of crops.\nAbility to work a flexible schedule including early mornings and weekends during time-critical periods of the shipping season.\nExcellent communication skills (Oral and Written), including ability to train and work with operational teams on the farm.\nExperience using Windows based computer programs.
